Mary in Color-Part 3

Detail of Mary.

At this point I've concentrated on finishing up everything on Mary. Next, I'll be making some adjustments to the reflections and moving on to the wood for the window frame. I should be able to post the finish on Monday.

Gail- This is really beautiful. What is the size of the piece? Will the new scanner help you work faster? Such an interesting process!

Thanks for the comments!

Jennifer, overall this piece is 12x17. I had to scan the B&W drawing in two parts. I do have a medium format printer so after photo merging I could print in one piece. The new scanner should speed things up in this initial step. Plus, scanning the finished art should be breeze now.

12x17 will work out to be a good size for me, my printer and my new scanner.

Hi Belinda, yeah, I remember you from Scribble Talk! Funny how we run into people we know from all over...it's small art-world. Glad you found me.

I did my first scan of the final, Tue post, and it worked great!
